    Everyone may think the joker and Heath may get the Oscar, but just remember, Two-Face was a very good villain this time around as well. He was a lot better in the dark knight than the batman forever version. His character is really why the joker is there in the first place. the way they used the themes to center around the tradgedy of harvey dent and designed that costume/makeup it is what really brings Dark knight from blockbuster, to what is probably front-runner for the Academy Awards. Plus that final scene when Two-face is tossing that coin was the best part by far

    To me Christian Bale is one of the best method actors to date. However Heath Ledger's performance ran circles around everyone else in the movie.

    second, the joker is i think one of the most hardest characters to act out and heath did it beautifully

    Heath Ledger was so totally awesome in this movie!!! I expected better from Christian Bale and was disappointed. Heath Ledger was a far better actor than Christian Bale will ever be.

    Give me a break. You sound like a bandwagon fan who've only seen The Dark Knight and think Heath Ledger is the best thing ever and thus everyone else subsequently sucks. I LOVE Heath and was a fan before TDK, and I can attest to this -- I've seen it way too many times. Christian Bale is an amazing actor (American Psycho, 3:10 to Yuma, Rescue Dawn, Batman Begins, Equilibrium, Reign of Fire, Mary, Mother of Jesus, Maquinista, El, etc).

    Yeah in 3:10 to Yuma Christian Bale was awesome...but in Batman, bleah. I didn't care for his portrayal of Batman in the slightest. I do think Heath Ledger was one of the best actors of out time. He portrayed the Joker role, the way it was written in the books. Not just from a script and not true to character like Jack Nicholson portrayal of the Joker. What the hell is a bandwagon fan? I've seen all the other Batman's too. And ever one of Heath's movies. He does great in most...some I didn't care for...Monster's Ball was one of my bad roles for Heath.

    The Joker has been written several ways in the comic books over the years. So Nicholson's performance was just a reflection of the time (although Tim Burton added a few things, like the Joker being the one who killed Bruce's parents).

    Sorry for calling you a bandwagon fan...I just thought it was kind of unsettling to hear someone say that Christian Bale can't act!

    If you don't care for Bale's Batman, who's Batman do you like? I like both Bale and Keaton.
