Teen sues teacher for calling her ugly. What do you think of Jade Ray's lawsuit?
San Diego teen Jade Ray wanted to join her school choir as it delivered singing grams on Valentine's Day. But what Jade said she got instead was a swift kick in the rear end from her choir teacher, who also allegedly called her "ugly" and a "brat." The Mount Miguel High School freshman says in a $75,000 San Diego County Superior Court lawsuit that she wanted to join the school choir as it delivered singing grams on Valentine's Day.The suit claims she was humiliated and psychologically scarred after Hargett's alleged remarks. "I was embarrassed because the whole class was watching and laughing at me,"
Jade's parents said she was so upset over the incident that she never returned to Mount Miguel High School and has since enrolled in a new school. "She was in the office crying, and I just couldn't believe a teacher would literally kick her like that," her father, James Ray.

She was likely referring to her attitude as ugly and as for the kick in the butt, who knows what that was about, the school district can decide what to do regarding her career. Doesn't seem like she was in the choir and wanted to go anyway, probably to get out of class. Will $75,000 heal those alleged emotional scars? What a joke. -

since when does a teacher have a right to say some thing like that to a student I though they were there to teach and build them up not tear them down the bitch needs to be fired and taken to the cleaners they have no right to teach like it is not hard enough for the kids already with classmates screwing with them. Give me a brake this is really stupid . Sue for asult or mistreatment or even humileation but to ask for this kind of money is just unreal. Perhaps the teacher should loose pay or be placed on a sespention. But to sue for this kind of money and the suposed humilyation is rediculase. This isadent is in my opinion triveyal and the girl is seeking monitary damiges way beyond the scope of the insednt. Its law suits like these that give people free rain to rape the system. I feel bad for the girl yet we do not know the aditude or sercumstances that took place was it a real kick or just a knuge saying im busy kid and your making a sean. I would need to know her additude and record with those around her as to how she presented her case to be on the team. As would ineed to know the teacher and his her record . There is not much info here to go on . based on what Ive read probation for the teacher and or a pay reduction. As for the girl a puplic apoligy in front of the student body. Not $75000 that just stupid.

I see a lot of people call her ugly. It doesn't matter if she is ugly no kid should be called that especially in front of a whole class. To get back at me people would call me ugly and shit that hurt my self-esteem so much it's not even funny. It doesn't matter if she is not pretty he shouldn't have called her that. And kicking her in the butt asault right there plain and simple. I think maybe sue for the asault but not as high as she wants it. Now as for the teacher he is a true ass and should be fired immediatly.
