Do you feel a US Senator and Presidential candidate should have went to Iraq long before now?
Barack Obama has FINALLY decided to make a trip to Iraq and see first hand what is really going on. He will be meeting with Iraqi officials and with US military commanders on the ground for the first time in his political career. As a US Senator and presumptive Democrat Presidential candidate who has been outspoken about the failure of the war, the surge and the Iraqi government, do you feel he should have been there long before now getting a personal perspective to go along with his statements or is he merely making the trip after being called out on his flip flop regarding his suggested 16 month pull out of troops?

Answered He has some explaining to do regarding his change in stance and needs something to back it up.
He (BHO) is getting all free campaign publicity from this that is all. He (BHO) has not learned anything there, he (BHO) has not changed his (BHO) stance. RWD -

Answered He is truly concerned about doing the right thing in Iraq and cares about the opinions of the generals on the ground.
I think McBush better get some knowledge of the geography of the Middle East and the New Eastern Europe before *he* gets anywhere near the "Commander-in-Chief" test.
Wake up, Obama-bashers! You should be more concerned about what a fool YOUR candidate is making of himself on a daily basis, while Obama is busy winning over the world :-)

Answered He should have been there a long time ago.
