Joker vs. Joker: Who Played the Better Joker in the Batman Movies?

The Joker, Batman's arch enemy, has played a key role in the Batman movies with his green hair, white skin and an evil, permanent smile. In 1989, the Joker, played by Jack Nicholson, became an icon who was a stone-cold killer while maintaining the persona of a humorous prankster. In 2008, the Joker is revived and played by Heath Ledger, and depicts an embodiment of evil and anarchy out to prove the absurdities of the wold, with no empathy for anyone.

alot of voters wont remember jack nicholsons performance as much and will still be buzzin from heath's. even if jack was better, he couldnt win it. ask the question 20 years down the line for a better indication.

Who is this guy he don't look anthing like the the joker from the comics or cartoons but more like a clown who's about to OD (over-dose for those who don't know) on crack! Bring back jack, and tell these so called directors and producers if there going to make a movie about a cartoon or comic stick 2 the plots and don't add their own characters or theme!!!!

I watched 'Batman' on VHS (you won't believe me) EVERYDAY FOR A YEAR when it came out; loved it. But seeing Heath go to the level he gave me freakin chills. RIP Heath.

my go with Jack Nicholson's make-up and act wonderful but for Heath Ledger's joker look cool because he look scary psycho murder more darker side clown creep i soon go see the dark kinght movie see how he act so i say i start like Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson;s joker and too
Cesar Romero the joker from Batman T.V (1966) is fun to watch him act attice i am sure Heath Ledger will do good job psycho murder joker so

I am sorry but there was absolutely nothing menacing or psychotic about Jack Nicholson's portrayal ( he is not suppose to be a funny joker)
The only person more disturbed then Batman in Gotham City is the Joker. Heath Ledger will be remembered forever because of this role and the reckless horror that he brings to it.
The worst thing ever Jack did in the 1989 Batman was damage art with a paint brush and listen to prince music. YIKES

Jack was more fun, Heath was realistic, frightening. Jack was sadistic, could fool you into thinking him harmless. Heath was psychotic, the only funny part of him was the makeup.
