Are you a firm believer in chivalry?

Do you always want a guy to hold the door open for you, carry you if your tired, put his jacket over a muddy spot in the street, wait on you hand and foot, pay for the meal/movie and what not?

To a degree. It's a sign of respect, not lack of ability. I don't think I should be carried, and I can walk through a puddle. I just think the simple stuff, like holding the door, is important.

Yes, I like it when my husband does stuff like that - but I also don't NEED him to do it to know that he loves me.

He would do anything, and I mean anything that I ask of him, but I also love him enough to not take advantage of that fact!

True, but what I don't get is, if here is a muddy spot in the street, insted of soiling a perfectly good jacket, couldn't they just walk around the spot?
