Guitar Hero III vs. RockBand: Which is better?

In Guitar Hero III, the player uses a special guitar-shaped controller to simulate the playing of rock music by playing in-time to scrolling notes on-screen, similar to the previous versions. However, Guitar Hero III allows for online play, as well as multiple cooperative modes not previous available.

RockBand allows players to perform in virtual bands by providing up to four players with the ability to play three different peripherals modeled after music instruments (a guitar peripheral for lead guitar and bass guitar gameplay, a drum peripheral, and a microphone).

The question is, which is a better game?

I'm going to have to say Guitar Hero. While Rock Band did offer more insturments, I ***DEFFIENTLY*** played Guitar Hero much longer than Rock Band.

the squares on rock band mess me up...but it dose have more things to do and the drums are really fun....but guitar hero plus it came out first so basically all the ppl who made rock band did was copy a brilliant idea from a brilliant mind

ahem ok looking back if u have played them and own them all look at the cases for 1-80s then look gh3s then look at rock bands hmm gh 3 is missing one thing harmonix while rock band has it so in turn harmonix took the knowledge of the guitar amplified it and made multi instrumental parts

you know gh3 is awesome but i mean its only guitar and when you look at rock band your like wow a full band that seems cool and then you play it then you say man this so beats guitar hero and who cares that some of the songs suck god dam just play it

Rockband by far, so easy. You can play drums, guitar and sing!!! plus, the guitars a lot better. Sure its easy to play expert but its still amazingly fun!!!!I love rockband<3

well it is really tough to say because harmonix(guys who made guitar hero 1,2,and rock the 80s.)also made rockband after selling the franchise to activition so i think harmonix needs alot of praise because without them we wouldnt have rockband or guitar hero without them i pursonaly own all the guitar hero games and rockband and well its too hard to choose so i just put rock band
