Guitar Hero III vs. RockBand: Which is better?
In Guitar Hero III, the player uses a special guitar-shaped controller to simulate the playing of rock music by playing in-time to scrolling notes on-screen, similar to the previous versions. However, Guitar Hero III allows for online play, as well as multiple cooperative modes not previous available.RockBand allows players to perform in virtual bands by providing up to four players with the ability to play three different peripherals modeled after music instruments (a guitar peripheral for lead guitar and bass guitar gameplay, a drum peripheral, and a microphone).
The question is, which is a better game?

gh3 for several reasons
1:better setlist
2:free DLC
3:Rock band guitar has a bad strum bar, too big of a whammy bar, and has a WAYYYYY too easy songs
4:Rock band drumset acts like it was made by a company that makes plastic baby toys
Rock band is fun but GH3 is superior -

The other key thing being that Rock Band has some DLC actually worth purchasing. Or at least, I haven't been particularly happy with the trickle of GHIII DLC. Activision's been dropping the DLC ball since GHII first came out on 360. Lots of big promises, not much delivery.

Hands down Rockband. With TONS ofDLC, extra periphals, and an all around better charting system this has become the greatest "play drunk with your buddies" game ever. Only question is how the new guitar hero world tour will fair against the megathon we know as rockband....... -

Guitar hero hands down. In guitar hero you can play as two legendary guitarists, slash and tom morello. And play songs from the sex pistols, disturbed, rage against the machine, and guns n roses,metallica, and more. You can even play the halo theme. Not to mention the games more fun. Rock Band is just some game that is not fun to play at all. -

i have mix feelings...rock band is too expensive plus it seems to have a bit of a lag. i like the feel of guitar hero better however one they incorporate the drums to guitar hero it will defenitly rock!!!! there will be no comparison! -

I think guitar hero is wayyyy better.Better online play more free DLC.Guitar Hero's time frame is faster than Rb's which makes it more of an challenge and with HS old songs get fun.And with cheats like Big Notes it never gets old.Rb is fun with drums but the pedal is flawed too Sugar Hney Ice Tea.It ill break if your push jst a little little bt further than its suppost to go the heal pops off.Rb's guitar is gay.Vocals are stupid cause of talkies >_>.Bass is the only fun instrament.Guitar gets too stpid with the solos and bass is more of a cooly sound.Rockband has songs basicly from GH cause harmonix most likely ran out of ideas.So they stoped Gh and started Rb too try too out sell Gh with more things too play with.Harmonix flawed the game just for it too come out before x-mas.like a wired guitar.An USB that needs an external power source.In other words Gh is just better.Rock Band has a wide selection f songs due too DLC but why horrible songs?The pack with metalicca was good and the pacl with trasher.Everything else is just Trash.On the pack with working man too.I could say tons more hut i wont.Guitar Hero pwns Rock Band by 1000000 miles. -

I have GH:3 because of how cheap it was, but realizing the drums and vocals were included ALONG with a guitar in Rockband, i wished I had saved up more. Guitar Hero is still my original guitar game, but I need some more out of it after Full Combo-ing about every song on hard -

Guitar Hero Has Way Better Songs Than Rock Band. But Rock Band has all Guitar, Drums, and a microphone. I Would Say Guitar Hero is a little Better Than Rock Band. Rock Band Graphics SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. My Ass is Better Than The Graphics on Rock Band
