First off, I cannot see why your poll was immediately down raved. Second, the ones that I know would vote McCain, they are smart enough to see how seriously dangerous Obama is.

This is a no brainer. Most military members know that Obama is nothing but an unpatriotic liberal.

I think the majority would vote for McCain, but with the reservation that he needs to do more the Veterans. There has been a lot of sacrifice and the medical VA system needs an overhaul and the GI Bill needs to be extended past the current 10 year limit, for those of us who fall under the old one.

How are people forced to re-enlist?

You are ignorant about the desires of our troops. Most (almost all) want to win this war against terrorists. Your liberal Obama wants to bring defeat to the war that our troops and Bush has won already. Have you been to Iraq? I doubt it!! It sucks and is much worse than ANYTHING YOU (or any other liberal democrat) has ever had to deal with in the states. I was there and would go back again, before allowing terrorists to win in my country.

I feel sorry for you because the world of McCain types will take the rest of your fuure away.period. Beware the phrophets who can't even keep their life in control. Lets hope McCain decides to cancell the election to save us the money. McCain is poison and just a carbon of all in Wash DC that has failed in their jobs but have the money to hide it. At least Obama wants to do good from his heart & soul, not for power and corrupt people, which McCain will bring all the ones who did this damage to USA and WW 3. Mark my words. Why do you think Liberman has been at all McCain srallies, because he too will push McCain to go to war to protect the greedy Jews, whose ancient "tribal "homeland was no bigger than the square mile radius of Wash DC,yet after WW2 was given 5 times that land in Isreal, then invaded and they threatened peace in Middle east by invading Egypt and Palistine lands in 1967. Who are they that make and control so much money in the world yet their nation does not have one manufacture or mineral resource made in their nation. They were the people who "invented" the interest systems with money and thay is how they make the fortunes they control, plus the blood diamond trade all over. Diamonds are so plentyful if all found was released would cost $100. a caret instead of $1000. and no I am not anti-semetic but I like to learn facts from both sides first before I give out my opinions.

John McCain definitely. The Media is hiding the facts, a poll of the Military branch by branch shows McCain as a DEFINITE Winner. The average is around 68% for McCain, and 48% for Obama. They definitely know who they want for a Commander In Chief...

For officers the voting is even higher for McCain, at 70% in his favor.

We are pissed because our troops were not allowed to follow Bin Laden into his hideout. I think Bush called off the strike on Bin Laden to keep the war going , to make his mark as a (stupid) President and many other egomanic reasons.

Remember McCain is not Bush. McCain is an honorable man. I believe Bush is not. When Bush worked on the Red Blunt for Represenative camapaign Red Blunt's son said of Bush, he thinks he is such a "cuntsman". Look it up on the internet. It is there.

McCain is a world hero, he was there, where as Bush was an AWOL skirt chasing drunk that cannot remember if he snorted cocaine. Many current and former drunks do very good work Bush does not seem to be one of them.

I am dissapointed that McCain picked Palin when we have people like General Colin Powell and many other well deserved candidates. With his Palin pick McCain 'almost' lost my vote.

However I know many retirees that are reluctantly voting for Obama. We retirees reflect more active duty opinion than we are given credit for. You people seem to forget we espouse the command views when on active duty inspite of our very personal views. To do otherwise is a career killer. Its like being a Democrat while working for the Wall Street Journal. It don't work, then neither do you.... Unless you are wealthy, well connected, and have skills no one else has you keep your mouth shut . I was outspoken and in the right places at the right time, I also had sponsorship otherwise I was very lucky to survive..... most don't.

There are many unreasonable demands made on service members, it goes with the job...

You can bet he asked Colin Powell. Powell has consistently refused to run for office, though he is willing to work on the staff or in jobs like Sec of State as he did. It is a shame that Bush listened to Wolfowitz and Cheney, instead of Powell, the war would have gone much differently... Never trusted Cheney since he was head of the CIA. He knows too well how to hide what he is doing. Bush I believe has been Cheney's mouthpiece. They knew Cheney could not get elected, but figured he could run Bush.

Military stick together when it is for our wonderful country they have and will fight for. My husband served his country 28 yrs we would never pass up the chance to help elect a loyal military person that gave 5 yrs of his life in a hell hole like did for all of us. Obama is a radical raghead that serves only himself.

Great idea, lets have the election decided by a much smaller group than all those damned eligible voters.
  • raves +1   [-] Kingair315 replied to Joe
Illegible yes, know what is best for the Military, no. Too many voters do NOT do their homework. There should be a written exam, at the level of a sixth grader, before anyone can vote. It would be a test to find out what we know about the candidates. It would be simply written, so any who did not graduate from HS, could pass it, if they studied.

To many vote for "emotional" reasons or because they believe the highly slanted media. The FCC should pull the license of TV or Radio stations who abuse the privilege and publish outright lies about any candidate. Only then would we have fair elections. Fair to voters and politicians. As a psychologist I can see just HOW the media uses words, to fool the American Voters, day after day. Voters are not voting on who is best for the country, but who the Media wants to elect.

The media has not been doing its job or telling the truth for decades, all they care about is profits and will do or say anything to sell advertising or create controversy that results in higher ratings.

Personally, it does not matter as much to me WHO you vote for, as long as you know the real reasons you are voting. The true background and record of candidates.
