Jobs are disappearing overseas.
Health care is still a big issue with no real solution offered.

What I want is equal weights and measures. I don't want my economy to be a facade run by usury enthusiasts. It's not going to happen however. I want a government that won't tickle the peoples ears and will make the unpopular but correct decisions....like raising the SS age to 75. But it's not going to happen. The politicians have created a monster called ochlocracy and the people will eat them raw if they don't deliver on their damnable promises. -

but don't expect jobs to come back for other counties with a democrat in the white house.. our lovely Bill Clinton started this mess when he was in office and it is getting worse.. this is why people tried to stop that bill before this happened Clinton's smoke screen prevailed. but look at it this way atleast it made Bill Clinton richer!! -

Wow. As I was watching the follies, or whatever they were calling the RNC last night, I was remembering what some of the right-wing talking heads had been saying for years. Family values, family Values. We know how to raise our kids properly and give them the best education. We are always right and young women who accidently get pregnant are fair game for our vitriol and slander. Remember when the likes of Hannity and Limbaugh felt they had the right to call girls like Brittany Spears a whore and slut. Now since we have the situation with the Republican V.P nominee's family, why don't they say the same things.
You got it, they are hypocrites. They lie, spin, cheat and smear against anyone who isn't in their camp. Thank God I'm not.
It's very funny to see how this situation and their self-rightousness has caused their own words to bite them right in the ass.
We have to get the Republicans out of office now or we are doomed to becoming a second-rate country with no middle-class. Only the very rich and the very poor. -

Just look at her and listen to her speeches recently on television. Still complaining about Barack Obama and spewing the same crap she did during the campaign. She is still in denial about the outcome of the election and the causes.
The majority of the electorate in this country have grown tired of the negativism and the smearing of all who do not believe in the far-right ideology. I recall some words from an Eagles song sung by Joe Walsh, "The problem is me".
Hopefully the Republican party will retool and rebuild into a more moderate organization that will be able to compromise positions and accept other ways of thinking by reaching out to the New electorate. Otherwise, they will be doomed to stand on the sidelines and throw rocks and smears as history marches on past them. -

"The Economy" is both the victim and the perpetrator of our current political administration. For the Repubs, Neocons, and Corporations - only the upper 5% of our "economy," things have never been better, But at what cost. Their attititude of "get in, get mine, and get out" has literally and insidiously killed the remaining 95%, and taken all of us with it. We need a nation-wide fundamental change in both corporate mentality and consumers' attitudes, or we're bound for national bankruptcy in the very near future. Both corporations and consumers need a good "bitch-slap" to get their eyes opened and focused on the problems (plural). Improvement? I don't think so. How about a complete overhaul?! -

you cannot keep doing the same thing and expect the results to be any diferent, that is the republican way. we must not only change the course we must change the characters who charted this course. mccain is a supporting character who voted with the majority party 90% of the time to keep it this way. the only way to change that is to vote for non-republicans.
it is unbelievable to me that voters do not see that we have been lied to by republicans and worse, they rank and file don't know any better and continue to be bamboozeled by the retoric of deception, confusion, misdirection, and listen to anything but what the real problem is. frankly=, i don't think they want to know. -
raves Sep 04, 2008 04:11PM GMTIt is astounding isn't it?? I think it is because people think no matter what they only recognize the original R and D and dont want to believe that the candidates representing these parties can be quite different than what they envision..........You would think that after 8 years of our economy and everything else deteriorating they would be able to put the pieces together.......talking about retoric.......McCain is the poster child for this as well as the dirty politic way of campaigning.......gone are the days when campaigning is supposed to be letting the people know that you are in touch with the problems of today. McCain has no clue about any of these problems and his sidekick Sarah Palin is just a puppet........she has a speechwriter (same one that does McCain's) and she can follow a teleprompter.........occasion... she can throw in a sarcastic jab at Obama and all of a sudden she is appropriate for the VP slot. It's obvious McCain impulsively chose her as he does all his other decisions......did you all catch the news clip of him introducing her and when she started to talk he cast his eyes down and over her rear end not once, twice, three times, but TEN times and it was picked up and reported as he was doing it. This man has thoughts of the impossible and he sits in his own dreams.

This country is hurting and we need major policy changes not sentimental fluff proposed by the GOP. This is not about personalities but issues. I don't want a soccer mom or a Vietnam soldier in the White House who has idea about the changes needed in energy policies, healthcare, jobs, or myopic social issues. -
