Does global warming exist?
This is a highly political topic and expect a lot of debate on this. I'm not so sure it exists, however it seems as if people just accept that it does exist. When I am talking about Global Warming, I do mean man-made global warming. There are a few scientists who are not well publicized who seem to think that man-made contributions to global warming are trivial if at all. I'd love to hear your thoughts.-

Answered Yes Global Warming does exist and it's primary contributor is man's carbon emissions
People still don't believe in global warming? The melting ice caps don't convince you? The rising temperatures don't convince you? Is it just coincidence that carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere have raised the highest ever in history at the same time the Industrial Age began? Are you blind? -

Look at these night time earth photos of the fossil burn, how can this much burn not have an impact. Be it warming, cooling or pollution.

I believe that the Earth cycles naturally, but I also believe that carbon emissions are causing a global warming effect. And, I think that we will have a rude awakening to our effects on global warming by the end of the year since the north pole will be virtually ice free by the end of September 2008. The black ocean water will absorb heat instead of white ice reflecting heat. We're going to see some bizarre weather by the end of this year.

Answered No, Global Warming doesn't exist
The earth has been changing for billions of years, what makes humans so special that they think they can affect this earth. Like George Carlin said the earth will shake us off like a bad case of fleas. The end is here and it isn't global warming, it is the end of times. Ignorance is bliss!

Answered Yes Global Warming does exist and it's primary contributor is man's carbon emissions
Global warming does not exist because Al Gore made money from a film and book?
Last year:
D. O'reilly, Chevron oil Ceo $35 million.
J.Hess, Hess oil ceo $47 million.
R. Irani, Occidental petro $55 million.
The oil company's are making more money than any other concern in the history of civilization. - Bill O'Reilly
If hatred of Al Gore making money for trying to save the planet is just. Then what about the oil CEO's & Companys.
Generally when someone makes a documentary it is made for passionate, moral and just causes. How many blockbuster documentary's did I rent last year {0}.
Al Gore donated all profits from the movie and book to a bipartisan educational campaign to further spread the message about global warming.
So he made no money from the movie or book.
Is global warming or pollution a threat to earth?
We can only use educated speculation.
And if we do not heed caution and screw up the planet, then where in the hell are we going to live, hell?

Answered Yes Global Warming does exist, but not man-made Global Warming
Global warming exists, but man has nothing to do with it. It is caused entirely by the sun. Just look at Mars; NASA has proven that it is warming as well. If Mars is warming at about the same rate that the Earth is warming, does man really have anything to do with it? They're also sure that Jupiter, Triton (one of Neptune's moons), Neptune and Pluto are warming too.
The sun is brighter than it has been in about 1,000 years.
This has also been one of the calmest times in the Earth's history. It's no surprise that things are changing and getting worse. Things can't always stay the same.

raves Jul 12, 2008 12:11AM GMT (edited)Cassie, the ational geographic article said this: "Most scientists now fear that the massive amount of carbon dioxide humans are pumping into the air will lead to a catastrophic rise in Earth's temperatures, dramatically raising sea levels as glaciers melt and leading to extreme weather worldwide."
The scientists claiming solar irradience as the main cause of global warming are on the fringe.
They are not mainstream.
The vast majority of scientists believe the earth is warming because of greenhouse gasses.
National Geographic quotes a Russain scientist who totally denies the greenhouse effect as the cause for global warming . . . and you latch on to it like it's a direct communication from God?
Why?? -
raves +2 Jul 12, 2008 04:54AM GMTWhich National Geographic article are you quoting? I can't find that anywhere in the one I linked to, if that is what you are talking about.
I've done research on the carbon dioxide theory, and it seems plausible, but not likely. It has been proven that the sun has had a direct impact on life on Earth (without it, we would be frozen). Just compare the Earth and the Sun in size. Don't tell me a ball of fire that large doesn't have an impact on our climate. It's like a massive heater.
(By the way, I'm not a Christian. If 'God' communicated with me, I'd check myself into a mental hospital.)

A lot of scientists may say that global warming is man made, but there are 9,000 just as bright minds who disagree. However, if Al Gore stops flying a private jet and lowers his own emissions, I'll believe him.

It is called Summer and it occurs every year in June.
