I tried a waterbed, it leaks. An air mattress, it deflated. Any other mattress is too expensive to get at the prices they are asking. I have no recourse a traditional is all I can afford.

Sleep number bed, although it has air chambers it is more than an air mattress...I also have a Kingsdown mattress...I live alone in a 4 bedroom house...I sleep wherever I end up.

Exactly. You can't buy a Tempuredic or Sleep Number bed from Walmart; those are just cheap copies. I turned my spare room into a library, so I only have one bed. Sleep well!

I need a softer one though. I have slept on a waterbed, but with as much as I tend to toss and turn it's just not stable enough

we use a tempur pedic after market of coarse. it is great. i like that memory foam stuff. we have had it for awhile now and it is great. wally world sells them.

Its all electronic.
The back, the middle, the foot is all adjustable with built in vibrators for massaging whatever part of body you want. This is all done by hand held remote.
Also have two more remotes. One for my flat screen, and another for opening/ closing 20ft.of window curtains.

You sure know how to pamper yourself. Hopefully you can afford to pay for it when it breaks down. Your bed sounds like the ideal hotel room bed and right now that sounds wonderful!

I have had my Select Comfort for about 6 years, and it has never leaked air or deflated. If it did, they have a 20-year warranty, and they'd be taking care of it NOW! because, yes, they are a little pricey.

the salesman steered me away from the tempurpedic even though it was $700 more than the Kingsdown I ended up with.....he pointed out that the tempurpedic has no springs and some times springs make things more fun if you get my drift. I mainly sleep on my sleep number bed, it has no springs,

I slept on one for about 12 years and lost it in my last divorce.

It was a beautiful oak piece handcrafted in Japan that valued about $700 in 2000 when I divorced.

Great for my back.
Does tend to leak down after time but you turn the air pump on and a minute layer it is good as new.

It is probably one of the best purchases we've made. I also have one of their memory foam pillows, they feel awful hard to the touch but now I don't like to use regular pillows.
