When I turned twenty I was so upset. I knew people that were ten years older than me and I wasn't even close to being on my way.
Twenty plus years later I can say I've become a great underachiever and it kinda sucks. I'll suggest not to go that route.
Fef is right, read just read anything. Some will be crap but even from that you can learn what not to do.
Older people will say if I can go back in time....me I wouldn't care what people thought. I'd know that ultimately only what I think of myself is what matters. Again like Fef mentioned about friends, care what you think first, then family and then maybe friends.
In this time of your life is about you, what you think, what you do, what ....

Gracious girl, you're just getting started! You can do ANYTHING you want to do. Right now, I think family, school and friends should be a priority. Do you have someone in your family you can talk this through with? If not, an adult that you trust? A woman, preferably. Just study and enjoy this time. You will be an adult soon enough and then the decisions will begin. Enjoy your age. I know it's a tough one; but in looking back on my life; more enjoyable than some of the
"adult" situations I have had to deal with. ENJOY YOUR BEAUTIFUL, YOUNG LIFE, and we are always here for you :)

you have just started on a long journey. Don't expect everything to come to you or happen quickly. You make your life experiences good/bad by making good decisions, including whom you pick for friends, what you choose to study, how much time you spend with family, etc....

If I can make one simple suggestion: Read. Get some auto/biographies of people you admire and see what choices they made in their lives. That may inspire you.
