people cannot judge or look down on someone for the sins they are committing when they are sinning themselves.
the passage is speaking to the hypocrites who worry about what other people are doing instead of their own selves.

i never said i was offended. yes, i am guilty of judging others and also being hypocritical. i believe everyone is, it is human nature.

it means to me that people are quick to see the wrong in other people's lives and are quick to judge...yet they aren't able to see that their life is in need of "repair"....it also backs up the scripture...The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. & "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."

People are sooo quick to judge...(I have to include myself in this statement) yet we are not blameless....It has been a long road, and I am still struggling to keep myself on it....I HAVE TO PRACTICE DAILY not to look at people in judgment! I challenge everyone....even if it be for one day...to be aware of how judgmental we are of people...I found that my I spent my whole day judging people and it was very hard, and shocking to see that about myself...because I'm not one with a mean spirit....so I thought!

I agree Kanakarican, I too am guilty of it at times.....but if I look in the past and move forward , I too have to drop my judgemental attitude ,, because I am certainly not one to point a finger , Thank you for that very honest answer

One should not neglect oneself for the betterment of others.
If you have no food, do not donate what you do get to the food bank.
If you are not in a position to do or give to others, or if doing so will be at your detriment, do not do so.

However, someone elses' problem is, many times, more easily solved than your own, especially if it is much smaller in magnitude.
