There are several polls relating to down raves -- should they be anonymous, are they relevant, do we care...
We can see how many up raves we have received, from whom, and for what, on our dashboard.
I would like to see down raves I have received, from whom, and for what, on my dashboard.
(Not for retribution, but because there may be cause for rethinking my comment, for further comment, or for further discussion.)

Would you appreciate having down raves on your dashboard?

Voting here only because there is no "Other" option.
Seeing DR's can be a source of aggravation. If you don't know who did it or even have the ability to figure it out as we did before the September format change, there is no real purpose.
Mass downravers usually have no rhyme, reason or purpose, except to vent their anger.
As many of us have opined previously, abolishing anonymous downraving would cut way down on the petty vindictiveness. However, I think SH management may keep it this way to keep red thumbs from escalating into a bloody battlefield.

I don't get it - when you push the thumbs up that gives you a positive rave - how do you get to down rave at all? I've asked several sodaheads and they don't know.

The Raves let me know that my views have value in the eyes of others and who they are. I've made friends this way.

Likewise, the Down Raves would be of benefit to me because many will debate me if I disagree. I like a good debate if it's in a positve way. I have my strong opinions as well but I'm open to sharing differing views.

If they continue to be rude, crude and crass, I stop interacting with them BUT I would like to know if they have DR'ed me. Have I made my point with them or not? A DR would let me know, and who they are. At least I assume so since we know who the Raves are from.

I think there should be no rave system at all . I have found that the Raves, believe it or not , Have caused a lot of Cyber Bullying and Ghost accounts . If you took away their Ego System that would stop a lot of the childish games . And also promote more interaction . Then you would actually tell someone when you agree, and as far as disagreeing that does not seem to be a problem either. Anyone who disagrees is anxious to jump in and explain why !

Thank you, Unfortunately I know all to well the main ones abusing them, how and why they do it. When I found out , I ended all contact with them and their little pack of followers, And have had to defend my reasons for quote “Betraying Them” And then also be classified for the stupid Ego games they play. I still can’t figure what type of person, would go through so much trouble for such silliness. I can tell you they are defiantly DESPRATE for ATTENTION, And lacking a REAL LIFE ! And if the little Rave Cheerleader was removed , It would stop the nonsense ,and let the rest of us enjoy SH again !

I kinda think it might discourage some people from DRing, but I don't see how it would discourage people from expressing their opinions. That would not be the point at all! Public opinions wanted, indeed! Thanks for your comments!

I truly don't really care about the down-raves. I did up-rave a couple in this poll that supported and well as not supported showing them because their comment has substance. But personally i really don't care about the down-raves, except in the instance when a group of people are getting together and down-raving just because they don't like you. I've suspected that has been done to some of my friends. I do believe though when a person has gotten a lot of dr's, that SH SHOULD make it a priority to go to the comment being down-raved and comparing the actual comment to the excuses found on the down-rave. If the comment does not merit the down-rave responses, each down-rave that is in violation of false reporting should have the down-rave removed by staff if that's possible.
