I give time and money to children's health, children's literacy, St. Jude's, Cancer causes and animal rescue. But you have your own issues just think about what you want to leave a mark on and work on that one.

Oh and I donate to the alzheimers association. One of my neighbors has it and they come give his wife a break a couple of times a week so she can go to the store or pay bills. They also will stay with him in the hospital so she can go home and bathe or just have a break.

Choose whichever is closer to your heart. Don't forget the animals, don't forget the WOLFSHADOW for Congress campaign. :P

Don't give your money to the Red Cross or Salvation Army. They mostly use your dollars to fund themselves! (I know about both personally!)

The Childrens hospital in Fort Wort is one of the best and it breaks my heart to see illness strike these young children. Glad i ask this question!! U r the best sodahead!!!

All of the above, but make certain they are legit and can itemize where each dollar goes. Since you have battled cancer and are limited in funds, it would make sense to choose cancer charity if 'all the above' is unrealistic.

True. Cancer charities have lots of contributions and i think maybe a smaller,more efficient ran chairty is what i will do. Not sure but thanks for the feed back Marky.Your comments are always appreciated.

NO NO NO NO NO NONONONONONONONO Not the Red Cross, more than 50% of your contribution to them is used for "administrative" expenses. (When I was involved with them it was 56% more than 10 years ago-it was made Nationally known after 9-11 when everyone found out how much of their money was NOT going to help victims.

The Red Cross is a Rip Off. I have personal, inside knowledge of the runnings and crookedness of this 'organization.'
