I can't imagine that ever happening (or maybe I don't want to). I am only the sum of my past, and without them, I would lose a big piece of what makes me who I am.

I don't think that will ever happen, but I imagine that I wouldn't handle it well at all.....

Being from a large family that would probably kill me. We all seem to get along quite well for such a diversity of personalities. Have some real mean ones in the family as well...

I have been disowned a few times in my life...it is a terrible feeling. I always thought family loved a person unconditionally. But, in my small family, that didn't hold true.

It would be a very hard thing to deal with. I have always been accepte in my family even when the outside world seemed against me. It would bropably make me more of a rebel. I am little rebel now against injustices of the world because I belive in family and helping each other. If you take away the love for the family I do not know what type a rebel I would be. The thought is unconceivable.

It would bother me when a few of them did it....but the majority, no big deal. I guess I would have to consider if I really wanted contact, anyhow, with people that would toss me aside.

Wouldn't bother me at all. Relatives are generally people you would not normally associate with.

Not very well......I'd probably inform them that I was never owned by them in the first place and have since grown to be self-sufficient anyway. I'd even be courteous enough to show them the door ......... inform grown self-sufficient courteous door

Emotionally it would be really hard. I'm pretty strong and independent so I would ultimately be o.k., but I think it would give me bouts of depression here and there. Hard to imagine though. My parents are the least judgmental, most forgiving people. This question makes me miss them, they live on the other side of the country.

Just look at it as though they all died in a plane crash or something. Then ye can revel in all the money you'll save not buying Christmas, Birthday, etc.

Well, being an only child & both parents are dead; I don't think I have to worry much about being disowned; the problem would come from having the same amount of love that the disowning would create........God what a memory!
