    yes

Menopause is the result of a woman's ovaries shutting down & the changes it brings to the body.

This is not an overnight process, the ovaries come out & it takes a while for the body to adjust, which is why women receive HRT.

Now lets discuss the medical procedures.

Addadicktome - this is what a woman does when she wishes to become a quasi-man. But before this specific procedure, a woman will have her female parts removed or be given male hormones to bring out the male.

Chopadickoffame - this is done to a man who wishes to become a quasi-chick.

so what do they do about the ribs
  • Red Branch concerned August 10, 2009 01:23:12
    Red Branch
    The ribs stay.

They have a purpose, one of which is to support those next to it. Female hormones do not completely change the insides, therefore the purpose remains the same.

If thought you wished a medical opinion on the rib & I was going to attempt to get a medical opinion for you.

If you wish a Biblical opinion seek a Biblical scholar or theologian.

While I am not a Biblical scholar, I would bet that sex change operations are not discussed with the multitude of passages.

Should sex change operations be discussed, I doubt it would be encouraged & more than likely condemned.

I am sure the Bible refers to 2 sexes and there is no mention of genders of which there are about a half dozen deviant groupings at present.

There is no gender reassignment, aka sex change, in the Bible.
The closest they would come to it would be castration, which in due time the man would lose some manly characteristics & develop female ones because male hormones would not keep the female hormones in check.

    I just asked the doctor.

She said, during a sex change procedure, the ribs are left alone.

I was having 2d thoughts on my previous post.

In view of modern medical procedures, aka, addadicktome and chopadickoffame, it is probably best to count the ribs to determine the sex of the person in question.

But I still doubts the Bible gets into some of the perverse medical practices of today.

yes the bible truly speaks on .. begin gay .. and the difference between man and woman .. and the role for female organs ... but I am glad the doctor agress that the ribs are the first way to decide man from woman .. thank you so much . i really feel a lot better ...

    The ribs remain.

Ribs have other purposes, one of which is supporting each other. While hormones change the body a great deal, the internal organs were still designed for a male and need to remain as is.

you think it might have something to do with the ribs .. and not the organs .. because even if you change your organs they do not remove the ribs ... which is one of the main ways of telling male from female

The ribs are left alone as they have other uses than as sex determinants.

A rib count works fine on skinny people or dead people, but there are much more accurate & better ways to determine the sex of an individual.

    This modern generation.

    yes

If you mean when a woman becomes a man (it's called transgender) then no. After going through all the surgeries, he will have had his uterus and all that removed and be taking hormone pills so that he will physically be male. As he will no longer be a woman or have the reproductive organs of one, he can't go through menopause.

Ovaries are what dictate menopause so once ovaries are removed menopause has technically happened, though not in the traditional way. It is called 'surgical menopause' and typically requires hormone replacement therapy afterwards.

that is not a true statement .. I know many women that got rid of their overies long time ago .. and still had menapause ... but doctors say you should not .. but what they hell do they know ...

    gingert is CORRECT.

Menopause begins when your ovaries are removed or beginning to stop production of hormones.

The doctors are correct. If you don't trust them, look under Voodoo in the Yellow Pages for a source of future medical care.
