President Obama has nothing to do with what happened at Fort Hood and he showed us that he was deeply disturbed by what happened. Maybe it was'nt in a Neanderthal way ( as Bush or Cheyne reaction) but a civil one.

Everyone forgets that this man was harassed everyday about his religion and his car was vandalised multiple times but that don't mean anything. He was a psych major and he had to listen to soliders and their wacked, crack pot stories about the crimes, rapes, loots etc,. they commited in Iraq and Afganistan. A series of legislative moves by the United States Congress in 1941 forced the Army Air Corps to form an all-black combat unit, despite the War Department's reluctance. This policy backfired when the Air Corps received an abundance of applications from men who qualified even under these restrictive specifications, many of whom had already participated in the Civilian Pilot Training Program, which the historically-black Tuskegee Institute had participated in since 1939.

By 1947 penicillin had become the standard treatment for syphilis. Choices might have included treating all syphilitic subjects and closing the study, or splitting off a control group for testing with penicillin. Instead, the Tuskegee scientists continued the study, withholding penicillin and information about it from the patients. In addition, scientists prevented participants from accessing syphilis treatment programs available to others in the area. The study continued, under numerous supervisors, until 1972, when a leak to the press resulted in its termination. Victims included numerous men who died of syphilis, wives who contracted the disease, and children born with congenital syphilis
