i have a couple of friends in a band called the phuus(playing house of blues in dallas in march) that would fit that genre. i thing music fusion works on many levels

Haven't heard too much of them, but I have heard GHoultown, The Razorblade Dolls, and most of the other bands Ghoultown has toured with.

I love Dick Dale yeah .Stuff categorized as surf music even if its from New Mexico.
Link Wray is a good guy to start out listening too then move on into Dick Dale
etc.Beach boys are'nt really surf rock to me.I guess they are more pop.

Yes I totally agree and he started sounding like that in the 50s very soon
after the sunstudio people .There he went along his way punching holes
in his speakers etc.For a sec I think did Prezly really invent rock.Maybe
he was just the 1st to get it on record but very often in both music and painting
someone invents a totally new thing and it becomes a style or movement.

Check out the Misfits. If you like punk, you will almost definitely like them. Brian Setzer is from the Stray Cats, early to mid 80's rockabilly band. He plays big band/swing these days.
