About Me

I'm a storyteller. I wrap my little stories in simple music to keep them safe and warm. I've lived a lot of life, as most men my age have, and now before I fade away, I am sharing that life in my work. Nobody ever cares who writes the songs they love, only the pretty boys and girls with pretty voices that sing them but that's okay, I can still get a Big Mac in peace. It's getting harder and harder to earn one's dime in this business now with all the pirates on the internet seas.

I'd like to meet

Abraham Lincoln and sit up all night talking, maybe even about which of our wives (mine are in the past), bought the most shoes and purses. I'd like to kick back on a cliff overlooking the sea in Greece and mix ideas with Socrates as long as he keeps his hands to himself. I'd like to sit by a stream in Nazareth and talk to Jesus about what he felt inside before he left for Calvary.

Activities

golf, tennis, hiking, camping, a good woman's wine and rain on a hot tin roof. Living my life in a Tennessee William's play.

My friend Max is a full blood Creek Indian who in another time would have been a Shaman. I was on the down side of life's see saw the other day, uncertain of my work. He asked e how I felt and I answered, "Max, some men die and go to Hell and some of us go to Hell and then we die. I'm not sure which man I am today". Writers spend too much time in Purgatory.
