  Oh, that is interesting Nana. I doubt if 1/4 of Canada is covered with forest. We are not allowed to just go out and chop down trees for firewood, but we are allowed to gather any deadfall that is one the ground. In fact it is encouraged as the removal of the litter on the forest floor reduces the dangers of wildfire.

  Do many homes in Jordan have a fireplace? Is firewood easy to come by there, I'm afraid my impression of the region doesn't include many trees. Around here firewood is literally laying around waiting for someone to pick it up.

  OMG!!! Snow in Amman? I never would have thought that happened Nana. Its cold here at the moment, but not too bad as far as winter in Canada goes... about -10C tonight. Wish I could invite you to snuggle up in front of the fire Nana and take away the chill.
