    The early days, Possibly not as much direction but, to me it seems, much more force. The Power behind the tracks was amazing when I first heard them. The new stuff is really good music to chill out to but I just love going berzerk to Death Blooms, Dig and Nothing to Gein. You guys are still awesome. Brought me up to metal. Keep on rocking.

    Although not as angry as their earlier efforts, The New Game is my top pick. There is not one track on this album I don't like.

    I will have to say the end of all things to come is my favorite.I liked songs off L.D.50 like -1, nothing to gein, death blooms,and severed,but over all they don't stand up to songs like:silenced,not falling,a key to nothing,and mercy severity.

    Lost and found was my favorite but still a little fucking winny quit being fucking sucidal and open your mind to other thing read about kicking the shit out of people and burning them alive fuck be violent like disturbed man don't get me wrong you have some alsome songs like world so cold and falling asleep but shit mother fuckers open your lyrics up to diffrent things

    I cant believe more people arent saying "The end of all things to come"
    (although this was the first album of Mudvaynes i heard-so maybe that has something to do with it) I love all of Mudvayne's Songs but "Mercy Severity" always does it for me!!

    LD 50, i love the vocals, the raw hardness of it. the guitar, drum and bass. Beautiful piece of work.

    There's aspects of each album that make it amazing, it's like choosing a favorite chapter in a book, it's all a progression and all works where it is.

    Though Lost and Found took a while to click with me, but once it did I couldn't understand how I wasn't raving over it on first listen.

    As with all artists, each Mudvayne album has been a step forward in terms of the evoultion of the sound of the band, but Lost and Found is so far the apex for me. When looking at L.D. 50, the initial draw I had to Mudvayne and the album was that it had a lot of heavy tunes and raw emotion on it, and from that aspect it hit me quite hard. Chad made me believe every word, especially on Severed (which is shockingly poetic throughout... "I walk under clouds of gray, sphere of storms in my head, I'm trapped again in endless rain," i mean come on, thats gorgeous writing) and Prod.

    However, on the same note, Lost and Found does the same thing to an even stronger degree. Emotion is key again, and its less abstract this time, maybe you could even say its more mature. Lyrically, things are more concrete, and that incredible poetic sensibility in the lyrics is back and at its best, too. So, when you throw in everyone behind those wrenching vocals... whew... I have a hard time finding a stronger recording period. Lost and Found was SO well written, both instrumentally and lyrically that it is also my all-time favorite album. It really communicated genuine feeling to me.

    It also runs the gauntlet. You have hard hitting pieces like Determined, Just, and Pulling the String, and then you have lighter ones like TV Radio and more speculative pieces like Fall into Sleep. And every song is a keeper. Thats ultra-rare on studio albums anymore.

    This is actually a hard decision to make. Like a lot of great artists, each Mudvayne album seems to stand on its own merit. They are all fucking well produced and well written. I have favorite songs on each.

    i like all of mudvayne's work... but this one really opened my eyes to a new way to understand art and life as well...

    it's one of the few cd's on my mp4 that earned the cd quality bitrate (roots, lateralus, thirteenth step and dark side of the moon are the others...)

    And yeah, L.D. was definitely an artistically achieving album. Very progressive, while remaining shock rock, but of course Mudvayne has one of the most original sounds out there!

    Has to be what got me hooked!! I was on holiday in Florida 2001 heard DIG on the radio, I've been obsessed since. I rate L.D. 50 first and End of All Things To Come second.
