all of these come into play and mind. really cool question. if I really fall in love with an artist, i will usually look into all the aspects of what they embody. the weirdest thing is when you find a band that is totally underground like "He Dreams Awake" and there is nothing to find out about the person behind the music except for that it is just one person and he is really intense, so i guess image and attitude means a lot, but the mind and thought and probably #1 THE MYSTERY behind the artist making the music is what usually drives me over the top..

But also their stage performance is a big deal!.. The attitude on stage can make you love their music even more:)

Dedication. A Band/Artist can't last without the fans, their the ones who buy the records, who go to shows, who sometimes dedicate themselves for the Artist/Band in street-teams etc.

If they taken for Granted then that Artist/Band will not survive. But if the Band Dedicate themselves to their fans, then the favour will be returned.

The real bonus is when they avoid the temptation to espouse a lame liberal social cause or spout off for a Left wing political party or candidate; and please don't whine to the world about the evil that is embodied by the United States - otherwise, just shut up and act or sing. Maybe you would serve mankind better by leaving the USA forever and make your money elsewhere.

Bottom line: Just shut up and act. I don't need my entertainers and court jesters to instruct me on important matters that affect American society and the world political scene.
