Direct from Ville himself here's your news fix!

HIM will start recording a new album in Los Angeles in August with producer Matt Squire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Squire). The working title is 'SCREAMWORKS: Love in Theory and Practice' and tentative release date by Warner Records worldwide on Valentine's day 2010.

Spread the word! Let people know! And stay tuned for a link to the download of the interview.

Once again thank you Ville for staying up so late for us, hon! We owe you dinner when you hit the states. ;)

Oh sweet, it's coming out later than originally thought, which drives me nuts, but I sooo can't wait!! The title...it's different...wonder if it'll make the final cut!

Awesome! I'm alittle, not necessarily scared, but unsure about the new album now. The title seems so...unHIM like. But seeing as I've been a fan for this long I'm sure that I'll love it. Every album has been unique in style, all I hope is that they manage to stay themselves while venturing into it.

Personally i was shocked at the title...my first reaction was OMG this title is so MCR...and then i looked up matt squire...and he is the producer of many EMO GROUPS. i know the album is going to be different...but i am heartbroken...i don't want our Ville screeming I HATE MY FUCKING LIFE I WILL CUT MY FUCKING WRISTS WITH A BLADE AND WATCH ME BLEED....NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO this is so not VILLE....powerpop sounds scary to me...it sounds like they are going away from there normal music. Venus Doom was just ok (even though it is one of the least albums i listen to) and now i was kinda hoping for something well...HIM LIKE...but now it just all sounds like this album is going to be well overproduced and it will possiably sound like another fucking emo album my hopes are dashed...HIM are special and unique why the hell did they go with an EMO producer?? what was wrong with TIM PALMER/??

It is little late in February ... VILLE may want to make a surprise for valentine's day? 2 days after this event is my birthday, so it will be the best gift that I've ever received ... In another vein, the show would have been stronger and if Ville would speak much, and if they entered the chat room and it ... The rest... everything was ok, except some links disconect from the radio, very often...

Well, maybe there was something different between HIM and their former producer. I do not know which was the cause that led to do this ... not just about expecting the final result! I trust inH.I.M and are sure you will get an album of quality as the life until now.

I do trust HIM i am just not sure about their producer. Anyway I am over the shock and i am hoping to love to fall in love in with the new album... I will get used to the new title...at least it is slightly better than Venus doom. Not that i wasn't happy with that title...but i am glad they are going away from their "gloomy music" just for a bit...,

I hope to be better than Venus Doom and I think it still should be a change in essence. More optimism would not hurt at all ... For example I like very much ... Negative!Their music is relaxing and very accessible...

Yes...a change is good, as long as it isn't too much of a change though....I don't know about optimism though? not too much optimisim..just a little is alright. Yes there music is very relaxing...venus doom not so much though...some songs i cry because they are emotional...

Until now, I did not what to taunt boys from HIM but there are some songs that were challenged by the public (see ''join me''). As for me they are okay and I love the way they are, without any change ... I just wanted them to not be challenged (as usual), the media and some fans ...

Yeah i don't want the media or this producer to be influencing them too much myself. I never want to put HIM down ever if i can help it:) I don't care too much what others think of their songs as challenging as they might be. I love the way they are too, but a little change isn't hopefully going to hurt, particualy with this album, having said that i don't want them to become really really hardcore emo like the used are. That to me would be way too wierd.

Well no I can not be influenced by anyone regarding HIM I like the way they are and I am not interested what others think about them ... The media (those dealing with music critics) was always number one enemy of artists. I trust H.I.M. and I am sure everything will be ok. with the future album.
