    Tony Iommi-Black Sabbath,Heaven & Hell

    Oh. FUCK.
I can't believe I'm subjecting myself to this impossible question.
All are bloody brilliant, but I'm choosing Tony Iommi because he was with Black Sabbath and they invented metal. Pretty much. Meaning... they were the most revolutionary of the four listed groups/artists.

Jimmy was always the weak link in Led Zep. John Paul Jones wrote most of the songs and did more work. Page was just a cheap stand in. I saw him with the firm and he did the same solo with the same light show that I so him do in 77 with led zep.

It was a real let down for me but at that Firm show all the players were well known except the bass player and after much fan fair for the first three they gave the bass player his solo and at first no one clapped or anything but by the end he had everyone standing. He was very good. Sad that I forgot his name.

You obviously don't know your history about Zeppelin. I agree with you that JPJ didn't get the credit he deserved, but he was not the backbone of Zeppelin, Page was. If any member of Zeppelin got more credit than they deserved it was Robert Plant..only because his voice was the sound, Page was the mastermind of the Zeppelin sound. Any true fan knows that.

You are just very very wrong...and I have seen all of them both with led zep and solo. you should redo your rock math and stop worshiping a 2nd rate guitar player.

By the way JPJ's solo act played all his new stuff from that time and the Led Zep music. JPJ played jimmy's parts better than jimmy...Because he wrote them.

I disagree. I've studied many of the live performances on tape and dvd and can't remember a missed note in any of them. If you don't like Zeppelin that's one thing, but cheap stand-in? Ridiculous.

Yep...He was a cheap stand in and the live tape prove it....but Who really cares.

Jimmy Page was and still is the best of all time. Those other fellas and hundreds of others are great as well. They're just not as great as Page.
