I recently added a journal on Buzznet. Do you agree with what I have to say?
Here it is:
Just because the singer is female, it does not mean that she sounds like Hayley Williams, or vice versa.
Just because they happen to be in the same-ish genre does not mean that the newer band is sounds like Paramore.
Just because the newer band happens to be in the same-ish genre does not mean that they are copying Paramore.
Just because the newer band happens to do a pose like Paramore did, does not mean that they are copying Paramore.
They don't sound the same, so stop bitching about how so-and-so sounds like Paramore.
The only reason you're comparing them is because it's a female lead singer backed by males.
Claim that it's not? Then do you also bitch and moan about male leads that sound even remotely the same, are in the same-ish genre, or do a pose even slightly resembling an older band?
Didn't think so.
Bottom line:
GET OVER IT.

I've seen many new bands randomly being assoicted with Hayley Willaims. I mean, yeah, she's a good singer. But, just because a new chick comes into the business, that doesn't mean she's copying her.
A lot of female fronted bands don't get a lot of coverage because of Paramore.
Really, the only big female frotned bands that most know about are Flyleaf, Evanescence and Paramore...
Paramore is my favorite band and people do compaor others to them too much. But, they've had their own moroic comparrisons. (Arvril Lavinge(Spelling?))
