That is an extremely hard question to answer. I guess I just agree with the typical protestant Christian view by default but I wouldn't be surprised if Hell is actually totally different than I and everyone else think it is.
It is a place of torment that is personal to the individual experiencing it. I don't think it is a single location of fire for people that do minor sins. It is saved for people like Bin Laden, Hitler, Stalin, and a special, special kind of vile awaits people that mess with kids.
It isn't the tortuous place people think it is. Think about it: according to Catholic mythology, the Devil loves people who are bad. So why would he torture them in Hell? If it did exist, Hell would probably be like a large castle, where everyone has their own luxurious room filled with every decadent pleasure they could ever wish for.
I don't believe there's a place were people are doomed to suffer for all eternity. I believe that we're are born into new lives over and over again until we learn to love, forgive, and cherish each other. Heaven and Hell are inside all of us and it's a constant battle we face everyday in every decision we make. Find peace within yourself and you can live in the heavens here on earth. Follow the dark and you'll find yourself living in the hell that's within you, but there's always a way to change that and bring yourself back to the light. Blessed be.
i think its going to be a place where the devil will sit back and watch all the bad people who go there eat and attack each other and it will have a very bad smell to it but i will never know for sure because im going to the good place
Being a sinner most my life, I've alway's preferred much warmer climates.. And my 55 years in Southern Nevada is proof of that. To Quote Mark Twain: "Go to Heaven for the climate, Hell for the company." And most of my friends have already preceded me to the latter. Besides, I've been told that on the lake of fire, the party is endless and you'll not find any virgins there.. :^)
This is the funniest explanation of Hell I've ever seen, my personal beliefs aside:
The following is an actual question given on a University
of Washington chemistry mid term.
The answer by one student was so 'profound' that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure
of enjoying it as well:
Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?
Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle 's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.
One student, however, wrote the following:
First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.
Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death ...

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle 's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.
This gives two possibilities:
1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.
2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.
So which is it?
If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, 'It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,' and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over! The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting 'Oh my God.'

No Hell no God and when some ‘one need help; most of times having good thoughts for someone help them. Thoughts if it’s about humans: most times not that good, special when hate surrounds them. Many wealth or reach people if not sick: not even compassion have towards others, and do not thinking about religion either.
A multiculture society wich we are having in Sweden!
With rights for everyone except the natives! Or if I die without any honor I will go to the underworld and serve HEL the godess off the norse underworld!
What we should ask is
"Why? Who profits from spreading this belief?"
But anyway, I don't really think Hell does exist.
