Your next door neighbor is having a heart attack. You want to help, but since he is of the Christian Science Church, he tells you no ambulance. Would you disobey his orders and call an ambulance?

Id call 911 and let them decide to send the ambulance or not. Im not sure but I think you could be legally liable if you just let him die without attempting to do anything.

If he doesn't want the paramedics to help him, he can tell them himself ... after they arrive following my 911 call.

If he wants to refuse their care, that's his business. But there's nothing obligating me to be a party to it.

I mean, I if he tells me to not help him/her I wouldn't. This would be tough, but you know, I can't interfere with other people's religion.

Hey, I can't force anyone to have a brain. If they are willing to die for their God, that's on them.

I wouldn't know what to do risk getting sued or getting prosecuted by because of some unknown law. Its a difficult one.

I would call an ambulance. I would stay with him until help arrived, at least. He could tell the paramedics (if he is conscious) not to do whatever is against his religion. If I knew his religion, I would inform the paramedics. No matter what I did, I could not guarantee he would not die.

I have no idea if he could sue me afterward, honestly. And sure, I would never want someone to die, but I'd have to respect his wishes. That's like if someone didn't want to have help with a breathing machine. If that's their wishes, you must follow it.

There was this guy who didn't ask a choking person if he could help them before he used the Heimlich on him, and the guy ended up coming back and suing him for...I have no idea what.

That would be a tough call to make. For one everyone needs to respect everyone's religion no matter whether they believe the same way or not. One also has to respect and obey the law. I believe that legaly one has an obligation to do anything they can to help in a situation like that or they could wind up in a lot of legal problems caused by not doing anything at all.

I'm not a part of the Christian Science Church, I'll follow my own moral compass and call him some professionals that will actually respond.
