    #2 - I don't recall ever finding any money.
    #3 - same as #2.

I would absolutely return money if I someone drop it. I would hope if I dropped money someone would do the same for me.

Money, wallets, jewelry -- I'd do my best to get it back to the owner. If there's no way to know and it's in a store or outside one, I go to the manager, give him my number and tell him I found something and if anyone asks about it, have them call and tell me what. If someone's going to keep it, it may as well be me and not the manager. My wife found a Rolex once. She waited a while until she saw an old woman crying and looking around at the pavement. It turned out that she was from Nicaragua and her kids had gotten together to buy her the watch so she would always have something she could count on if she needed money. She said she was afraid to go home without it.

I've left my wallet or keys somewhere several times, and someone has always found me to give them back. I've never kept anything if I could find the owner. What seems like a small amount to me might be all that someone else has.

No one around but you and the person who dropped it but they don't know. Hmm, honesty really shouldn't be a spectator sport. Either you are or you aren't - pick one. Yes, lady in the market after digging to China in her purse, dropped a 20. Yes, I picked it up and returned it. No angel here; just seemed like the right thing to do. I expect she works as hard for her money as I do for mine.

If I couldn't get it back to the person who dropped it directy, I would leave it with someone in charge of the building or with the police and tell them the circumstances of how and where I found it.

Yes, I have found money and returned it, but I don't remember the amounts.

I have found pennies or dimes along the curb and kept them. No way to know who dropped them.

I would return all of the money. I have received too much change before and I always give it back. The only time I keep money is if it's a small amount with no way of finding the owner.

I once found a sand wedge on the golf course...I posted a note on it in the clubhouse, but never did get a reply, so I still have it....but I always try to find the rightful person....if somebody drops anything and I see it, it makes the problem and question of getting it back to them a no brainer....I don't want anything I didn't earn myself......or, as in the case of the sand wedge above, didn't at least make a just effort to find the rightful owner

If I could return the money, I would. I've done so in the past and it always seemed like the right decision. No money I found in the past would have made a difference in my life at this point, but I have a clear conscious since I did return it.

If you can't easily return it, then I don't feel guilty pocketing it.

Finders Keepers - But I would return this amount if it was either to small or large

1: If it was around 40 bucks or less, I'd probably just keep it and consider it my lucky day. However, if it was a larger amount, like 100 or higher, I'd turn it in and not expect a reward.
2: I don't recall finding any money and returning it.
3: I've found a few dollars here and there, and kept it.

I have found wallets more than once and returned them. I thought these people really need this. I have also found money but had no idea who the owner might be and therefore kept it. I think what goes around comes around but I try to keep an extra special watch on my wallet.

The first part of the question was someone dropped it would you tell them. No matter how much the amount I would tell them they dropped it since they are right there. I have found small bills before and I keep it because it would be hard to find out who lost it, returning it to the police is not going to do much. If I found a large sum and there was no identification I dont know what I would do.
