I learn from life everyday. All of us do. Sometimes we just don't notice. I think I learn the most from living with kids. They interpret the world very simply, which forces me to see it from their perspective and to explain the gap between reality and simplicity or fantasy. Even if they don't understand my explanation, I learn just a bit more...

I'VE BEEN DRAWING SINCE I WAS 3YRS OLD. I AM CURRENTLY 25 AND EVERY JOB I'VE HAD HAS BEEN PAINT RELATED. WITH EVERY JOB I'VE HAD I'VE PICKED UP A NEW SKILL THAT I CAN APPLY TO MY ARTWORK. I HOPE TO ONE DAY BE ABLE TO PAINT A PORTRAIT SO REALISTIC THAT YOU'D SWEAR IT WAS A PHOTOGRAPH. EVEN THOUGH I'VE BEEN AT IT FOR YEARS I'M STILL LEARNIG SO I CAN HONESTLY SAY IT'S A LIFE STYLE FOR ME.

I've always loved, and still do, love learning. It's weird when you think about it, but you learn things even without thinking about it, for instance in my case: how NOT to burn soup. (how can you burn SOUP?!) ...and i thought i was stupid :)

I love to learn. I have a very inquistive mind.
I was a good student, I opted to stay on at High School to 18 (you can leave at 16 in the UK) and then went to Univeristy for my Hons Degree.
But I can say this one thing, I have learnt the real lessons just living my life everyday. I took one year out of uni and I learnt the true meaning of love, sacrafice and what caring really meant.
Since leaving uni I entered the "real" and that has been another real test.
Enjoy life, and take every oportunity you can to learn. Mistake will happen, but they have to if want to learn.

Everyday we learn about the life. And everyone can learn to us anything. School gave us only the tools to understand the Life experiment.

At the ripe old age of 31, I believe that life expirience is no substitute for anything that can be taught in a classroom (good grades are important to aid progression) . Its the only lesson that continues through out your existance. I believe everyday, sometimes subconciously something happens that makes us more aware of who we are and that also has an effect on the world aound us. When these changes take place I believe they should be positive. Even if its something as simple as a smile!

I couldn't agree more with this. I grew up with a great family, but my parents were strict. To them school was of the upmost importance, to me learning how Sebastian bach hit that high scream at the end of 18 and life seemed far more important. I moved out at 17 and started to live life on my own and thru all the b.s. I put myself thru, I started to figure life out. It's funny how at 29 I don't care about the high scream, even though I can do it now (I actually took two singing lesson from Sebastian when I was 19!!) but how I care so much about my daughter doing good in school. I hated school, to me it was the biggest drag in the world, but as a parent I stress out over my daughter and soon my son doing as good as they can. It's a lesson I learned thru the struggle of life. Had I applied myself in school who knows what could have happened. Don't get me wrong, I'm not in a bad spot because I quit school at 17. I have a great job, two healthy beautiful kids, a good relationship with my ex wife and I'm in better shape than I ever was. I've made super poor choices, but I don't regret them because I learned from them, and I'm a better and far more enlightened person that I ever was.
