You!

It's no longer enough to update your relationship status on your Facebook page. Now, you have to wear it on your sleeve ... literally. Buump Relationship Status bracelets, new to the U.S. this spring, have already made a successful splash at New York City Fashion Week, according to the company's press release:

relationship bracelet

"Targeting 13 to 35 year olds, these pliable silicon bracelets come in 10 lively colors of two different types: one that defines your current relationship status, and one that states what you're looking for. "So, for example, you can wear a two-bracelet combo that shows that you're 'in an open relationship' and looking for 'whatever I can get,' or 'married' but looking for 'fun.'"

The company admits that the bracelets were "inspired by the Facebook relationship status," and fans include reality star Kristin Cavallari and designer Betsey Johnson. So, would you wear your relationship status on your sleeve... or rather, your wrist?

This makes me sorta mad for several different reasons. But I don't want to be an idiot and rant to no one, so here's a picture of a puppy instead.

So, if someone is wearing multiple colors, does it just mean "confused"?

And before that, it was probably a ring through the nose... :)

Not everyone wears a wedding ring... Machinists in particular tend to not wear them... Probably because some of them over the years have had their finger ripped off by the machinery... I've gotten a couple of electrical shocks over the years for failing to take off a ring... Then again, I've gotten them even without rings...

My S.O. wears her ring and there are scratches by the door handle on every car I have because of it (the diamond scratches the paint).

As much as I could benefit from seeing a green/purple bracelet combo, wearing your info on your sleeve (in this case literally) seems a little Middle Schoolish.

    "Targeting 13 to 35 year olds"... I'm 26 and I think it's juvenile.
I do think they're cute... but childish cute, like something you see around a high school. It might be a good way to pick out the under-age club-goers, though!
