It's no longer enough to update your relationship status on your Facebook page. Now, you have to wear it on your sleeve ... literally. Buump Relationship Status bracelets, new to the U.S. this spring, have already made a successful splash at New York City Fashion Week, according to the company's press release:

"Targeting 13 to 35 year olds, these pliable silicon bracelets come in 10 lively colors of two different types: one that defines your current relationship status, and one that states what you're looking for. "So, for example, you can wear a two-bracelet combo that shows that you're 'in an open relationship' and looking for 'whatever I can get,' or 'married' but looking for 'fun.'"

The company admits that the bracelets were "inspired by the Facebook relationship status," and fans include reality star Kristin Cavallari and designer Betsey Johnson. So, would you wear your relationship status on your sleeve... or rather, your wrist?

It's not for me, but I do think tools like that are helpful for people who are looking. I would add one more thing to help identify potential prospects. . . gender for those who want to specify.

I think it's funny! Plus when your out it's hard to know what people are looking for. Just look for the color you want and there you go...perfect match. You don't have to go though all the hoops to find out they aren't what you were looking for!

Why not I would wear it for the time being it is just a wrist band nothing else. It may even help certain people take that step to getting a real wedding band we may never know tell we try it out.

I'm not opposed to them... however, as a white collar professional, it would be difficult for me to wear one while "suited up" for the office...

I do think it's strange that now we need to wear our relationship status openly rather than discuss it at will with only those whom we choose to discuss it with...

Where are the ones that specify that you're looking for a person of the opposite sex and the one that states that you're looking for a person of the same sex... or even more specifics on whatever your personal "kinks" are... submission, domination, group sex, whatever?
