Would You Spend $450 on Pizza?

I am on a food budget!

Seems wasteful to me. Imagine how many groceries you could buy with $450.

Get real.....

Chances are I would buy a pizza this expensive once, and once only. Overall, the pizza shown below, if that's what a $450 looks like, it will be cheaper for me to make anyway.

It looks like a kid made it.

As long as it's baked I guess it's still edible.

Considering what it eventually turns into, I would rather pay down the principle on my mortgage with that.

Refusing to pay for a $450 pizza doesn't have to be reflect one's economic status. To many of us it is a waste to spend money on something you'll only crap out in a few hours. There are actually people out there are who are spendthrifts and the amount in their bank account doesn't make a difference. There are even many "old money" families that still adhere to this logic so the idea that only poor people would refuse to pay for such a pizza is ridiculous. I believe for many of us, if we're in the mood for lobster, scampi, or any other of this chef's toppings, we'd prefer to eat it as a main dish rather than as a topping on a pizza. This pizza exists because there are people like you who ARE willing to pay for such a pizza. I've noticed that those who claim there is nothing wrong with spending $450 on pizza also say "if they liked pizza they wouldn't mind spending the money". That sort of infers that they don't even eat pizza. No one is interested that you don't like Americans, but we're not the only ones who bitch and we're certainly not the only country with poor people.

I'm not worried about her and neither should you. We might as well try to reason with the wall as it would do a better job of listening. She's stereotyping Americans and goes about it in such a way that she lives up to the negative European attitude stereotype that some people believe most or all Europeans are like. Fortunately for me I've met enough Europeans to know that those who live up to this stereotype are few and far between.

Well, it just seems silly that someone who's actually rich would be so out of touch and assume those who vote "no" are poor. Must be a child, who never worked for her money... or someone with poor taste. Most people prefer their fine foods in a more refined manner, not slapped on a poor man's dish.

Sure, I would spend 450 bucks on pizza. As long as it is at my favorite pizza place, and I invite about 25 of my closest friends. However, a single pizza for 450 bucks? Not on you life...Just a thought...

I spent $60 the other day on myself and my husband for 2 steaks and 2 drinks. To me even that was a waste of money since you just get hungry again in a few hours.
