Just the other day, we told you about the pizza vending machines that are coming to the U.S. Today, we have slightly sillier pizza news: at least one "very rich person" is willing to spend $450 on a pie!

The pizza, called C6, was created by Nader Hatami, owner and founder of Steveston Pizza Co. in Canada. It features lobster thermidor and black Alaska cod, with a side of Russian Osetra caviar, The Province reports.
While Hatami has only sold one C6, he has sold seven C5s at $120 a pop: This pie is made with roasted garlic, Icelandic scampi, smoked steelhead and lobster ratatouille. "I never thought I’d sell so many," Hatami told The Province. "The idea was to make a culinary statement." Assuming you're part of the 99 percent, most of Hatmai's pies start at $14. Would you ever spend $450 on a pizza?

It's just a gimmick for publicity.
How about instead they purchase the $10 deal .. and donate the rest of the cost to their Local Pantry that helps Disabled Military Veterans .. or Disabled/Elders in need?
There is a place in California that was showing on tv cooking channels where some restaurant makes pizza with caviar and some other crazy stuff like lobster etc... Price!!!!!!!! $1000.00 per pizza. Crazy people that just have too much money and do not know how to spend it.
It's all fish pizza! I wouldn't even eat it if it was free!
If I were a multi-millionaire that would just be loose change to me!
Cause sometimes you really need to do smth crazy!
Why not buyin' a $450 pizza! It won't hurt!
Right?!
When I think of dropping $450 on a meal (never have, but if I ever do) it would have to be top quality food, service and atmosphere and something worthy of pairing with a bottle of Opus One or similar. Pizza? Get real. Maybe Kobe beef, lobster, caviar, etc.
Best food we had there was at Fulton's Crab House.
Seems to be the demise of many industries, doesn't it? Mass produce for a set low fee under a contract and watch the quality plummet.
T-rex? Hmm. Can't say I recall it.
I've always wanted to decorate a kid's room to look like the Rain Forest Cafe.
pizza was never meant to become something expensive. in the beginning pizza was for poor people and they would just put what they had on it... besides I can make amazing pizza in my own kitchen so I dont need anyone else to make it for me
