Ah, summer camp. Sleeping bags, horseback riding, swimming in a lake and … video games?
A camp in Canada has some health experts wondering if encouraging kids to play video games during the summer is the right idea.
True Gaming Summer Camp in Fredericton, New Brunswick, advertises a “healthy balance of video game play, along with a great combination of creative projects, physical activity and social interaction.”
But Gabriela Tymowski, a kinesiology professor at the University of New Brunswick, says video games have no place alongside healthy activities.
"It's a bit of an oxymoron to talk about healthy video games,” she told CBC News.
"Children are interested in video games, they're attracted to them, there's a lot of stimulation there. And so parents are encouraged or want to put their children into an activity that the children will enjoy. But unfortunately, while their fingers may be dexterous and moving the rest of their body isn't," Tymowski said.

Beat Magnum True Hero 2011/07/16 07:41:22Sure, the kids would love it+6People need to get off of their high horses and get over themselves. Video games are a legitimate form of entertainment and becoming as culturally relevant as music, literature, and theater? Oh, did that offend some of you high & mighty types with your highbrow views on culture? Too bad. Guess what? I know Don Quixote & Donkey Kong. Everything enjoyed in moderation can be good. Every older generation cries about how the kids are going to hell in a hand basket over their latest entertainment of choice. Get over yourselves people, it's a legitimate hobby.

"A MAN'S LIFE DOESN'T START UNTIL HE SEE'S HIS CHILD'S FACE" unlike the sissy's who just walk away when they find out their girlfriend is pregnant at 16 years of age
I don't have anything against video games, just the fact it's in camping. THAT'S NOT REAL CAMPING.

Piss off. You're just jealous since you don't even have a NES, let alone a PC or a 360 or a PS3. :)
You look like a hypocrite.

I have a love/hate relationship with Call of Duty: Black Ops.
There are many games in the CoD series.
