I'd rather feel the burn of a hot shower at first. But then my skin would get used to the heat (adapting to the heat). So hot showers are okay in my opinion! :D Just like how my eyes adjust to darkness with natural/human nightvision.

must have heat in the summer or the winter...cold water causes extreme pain...arthritic plus a condition called rsds

I wouldn't want to be burnt! I like warm showers. But if I had to choose between cold and hot it would definately be cold.

i've been taking really cold showers all summer. its been over 100 degrees.

extremely cold could burn / injure.

Extremely cold could lead to hypothermia but can't imagine I'd stay in the shower that long.

cold because the human body is heat.. it's like if you jump into a cold pool, your body will get used to it. if it was hot.. then you wouldn't get in the shower cuz your muscles would keep tensing so one would eventually give up,
