TheHill.com ranks Max Engling as the Most Beautiful Person working on Capitol Hill. The Republican staff assistant did modeling before he pursued a career in politics. Mr. Engling gave up a lucrative career letting people take pictures of his body so he could help make America's government work better.

“You felt like you weren’t creating anything,” Max Engling says of modeling. “Your time wasn’t necessarily going to a good cause.” Many would argue that the same applies for those working on Capitol Hill depending on their political affiliation.

Personally, I would leave the modeling up to Bar Rafaeli, and I would work on Capitol Hill trying to make government more accountable to the people. What would you rather do?

THEHILL.COM reports:
Forget the Loaded Potato Skins. Max Engling was surely the best thing to come out of an Indianapolis TGI Friday’s, where he was waiting tables when a diner with ties to the modeling industry discovered him.

It's a bit corny but maybe I can change a few people's minds, make a difference. You don't learn how to swim without jumping in.

I want the Romneys' horses' healthcare: Massages, a pretty field to run in, a heated pool I could poop in, the best doctors and specialists for EVERYTHING, my favorite food, a private jet to London....... and people to clean up after me.

Go down to Lexington KY. That's typical of anyone that loves their horses or animals. If you know anything about horses they all get massages and rub down. Would you do anything less for any pet
    ?
My wifes grandparent that just passed had a estate set up for her cat. It is quite a chunk of change as well.

People love their animals. There is nothing wrong with that.

Have you seen Gore's home? Want to talk about Pelosi?

And this country's humans don't deserve that kind of healthcare because..........?
  • smitty RevBH 2012/07/30 14:07:57
    smitty
What kinda of healthcare. We humans get healthcare. Go to a public hospital.. they can't refuse anyone. They also feel the pain of the cash.

Going to the hospital because you have a cold puts an undo stress on the Medical personal and (since you don;t have insurance and would rather have an Iphone a plasma tv, cable, internet etc) they have to write it off and increase their fees for the paying ones.

    Spoken like a true 1%er.

Glad you take good care of your pets. A lot of us can't afford pets, as we wouldn't be able to provide for their healthcare. We can't afford healthcare for ourselves, either.

    But you kids have fun......

So I am supposed to feel guilty because I worked my butt off to be where I am. That I worked 80 hours a week plus went to school for 12 credit hours over the course of 7 years.

I had no life.. what little I did have I spent with my girlfriend who is today my wife.

No I am not a 1%er. I am a worker. Get off your lazy liberal butt and quit feeling sorry for yourself. You can change your life. Why wait for Obama to do it for you.

Have fun being mad at life.

I only take a vitamin. Yes I had to pay for it myself too.

At least being a model you'd have some respectability.

Actually u won't have some repectability because when u are modeling people that see the newspaper or the ad that u are modeling for . People might thing u are putting to much or they will think are a slut or a ugly person the no respect in that ?

Let's be realistic: there's no responsibility placed on a model. Society tries, but who cares? As a politician, you can try your best to duck responsibility, but ultimately your decisions affect others whether you care or not. I don't want to screw with people's lives. Just give me the money I earned, and go away.
  • RevBH Torchy 2012/07/29 07:51:49
    RevBH
No responsibility for WHAT placed on a model? That profession is very demanding physically and emotionally, which is more than you can say for politicians who help out their friends, boondoggle, and get free everything.
  • Torchy RevBH 2012/07/29 17:28:11
    Torchy
No one relies on a model to change their world. I do acting and some modeling -- don't begin to tell me how demanding it is. My gas tank also suffers. But that affects a relatively small bunch of people where a politician can screw up or make better millions of lives.
  • RevBH Torchy 2012/07/29 20:09:09
    RevBH
True, but models don't purport to go into "public service."
  • Torchy RevBH 2012/07/29 21:11:20

Exactly why it's easier. I know who I am. I'm not changing lives. I'm just entertaining when I can.
