I wouldn't mind living on either as a matter of fact. both are a means of transferring you around. So you wouldn't be limited to restricting yourself to one solitary location.

But, I would definitely, opt for the motor home option as my favourite spot. Is around the mountains and you can't climb a mountain in a boat. It would have to be a big motor home though as I like plenty of room for the cat to be able to swing from the chandeliers.

Motor home, I like the open road and the ability to travel to sites a boat would not be able to go.

Living on a boat has an air of respectability to it that living in a motorhome doesn't. I'd be willing to bet I'd have an easier time convincing a girl to go home with me if I told her I was living on a boat than if I told her I was living in a motorhome.

It would be nice to just drive till I run out of gas, then move on when I get more money. These days however, ummm I'd get to go a mile a month with gas prices and don't get me started on repairs or emptying the commode in environmentally friendly areas! *sigh*

I prefer to stay on land where there is solid ground under me.
Have no desire to be on a boat in a storm or tornado/hurricane.

So when the floods finally come I can sail to safety :D... then die of hunger shortly afterwards, or go insane from having no one to speak to, or go insane from drinking polluted water, or food poisoning, or water poisoning, or boredom/ lack of internet, or the ship sinking, or being killed by pirates.. you know what I'll take the motor-home.

Some RVs are beautiful, so yes. And I'd rather be able to travel on land and see so many places than just the sea.

A sail boat... a 12m catamaran, or 15m sloop would be nice. Anything bigger would need more than 2 people to handle it in many situations.

Boat %100, preferably with a motorcycle that I can bring ashore to get around.

You can boat into the bay of a city, moor your vessel, and go ashore from there. It is much more enjoyable than attempting to park your giant RV somewhere on the outskirts of a city.

Plus your lodging is elegantly floating on the bay when you wish to return after exploring/partying.

"Do you want to move this party to my boat?" sounds a lot more inviting than "Lets go hangout in my motor-home."

The problem with living on a boat is being in close quarters with someone. Problems occur. However, if you have a big enough boat, which can be internationally documented, especially a sail boat, you can go anywhere in the world without a visa and at very low cost if you do not mind traveling slowly.

When living in NY, I owned a 36 foot sail boat, which was documented and moored at Allan Treman State Marine Park Marina on Cayuga Lake. No real estate or school taxes, total guarded security, no lawns to mow. Many times we sailed to Fairfax and Toronto, Canada across Lake Ontario....could have gone up the St. Lawrence River and out to the Atlantic Ocean. We also went through the NY canal system and observed the fireworks at the Statue of Liberty during the U.S. Bi-Centenial.

However, sailing is hard work. Now that we are retired, we are looking for an RV.
