I have a two door sports car and it is wonderful when you go somewhere as a group - and you can't drive because it is also a two seater! I've got a pal with a truck and that's the worst - everytime somebody needs something picked up or moved etc. they call Jack - and he can't say no. It's even better with friends with kids - they don't fit either so they can't slop it up. LOL!
My car has two doors and I love it. It's sporty and cool looking. :) I tend to like cars more when they have two doors. Just a personal preference I guess.
I really don't have a need for the extra two doors and a coupe handles better in most cases than a four door sedan. Many coupes have a fairly larger trunk and a drop rear seat anyway. When you look at the way they are designed anymore most coupes and four doors share the same wheel base unlike the old days and the makers cram the rear seating in at the expense of leg room in the front.
Two when you're young, four when you got kids. Try putting a child's carrier in the backseat of a two door. That kid gets about six months old and your back knows it in a hurry!
..that USED to be true, but now they have those kid locks so the doors can't be opened from the inside...when I was ten, my dad bought a brand new 1957 Chevy wagon, in two-door, for that very reason (they didn't have the kid-lock doors back then..)
Did I forget to mention that the car is on fire?
