Well, my lab would have and did put his life on the line for me, is very loyal and intelligant, and is always there for me. My shih tzu is stuck up and stupid, only loves my mom, chews up my stuff, is a pain in the butt, whines when my mom isn't here, etc. I love him and all, but not enough to die for him.

Yep, although my family taught that the animals should protect the humans. Like a guard dog. But, I was put in a situation once. I was glad that I chose their well being over mine.

That's what i am saying. you can't replace someone in your family. A pet you could replace. They wouldn't be the same as your old one but wouldn't you rather your pet die than you end your life? I would. I wouldn't let any person risk their life for my pet

would and HAVE, this a-whole wouldn't slow his car down...my dog was still a puppy back then and was just starting to learn how to walk off the leash. Well you can guess what happened...SamIAm walked out into the street and the Hummer owner just couldn't find in himself to slow the hell down. so...a broken arm and an emergency room visit later, I had a safe puppy, a nice bright blue cast, and a great story.

Yes, if my cat was on the roof and wouldn't come down.

If my house was on fire (and I couldn't get to her in time), I'd let the fire department try, if they found her while putting out the flames.

This is such a weird thing to say...
I could not leave thinking that I could have saved my dogs but let them died.
Your parents would be fine without you...more money for themself instead of stending it in your education...lol
