    Sure, if it was a friend of mine. Probably not some random stranger. Taxis are pretty expensive. I live about 30 mins out from town and it's like $50 to get to my place. It's a big city.....

    What city? Do you live in Sydney? That's the only really big city, I can think of in Australia. I paid a cab fare to my friend because she lives far away out of town and it cost me $75. She will pay me back though, I wouldn't be mad if she didn't. The money can always be replaced, lives can't.

    No, Adelaide. It is very large geographically, although only the 4th largest population-wise. Taxis are expensive in Australia. I remember being surprised the taxis were so cheap in the UK. I don't know what they're like in the US.
