A couple in Texas had five daughters. The parents chose to pay for their daughters' college educations. Over time, the amount came to $1.5 million (each of the daughters went to out-of-state private schools).

The tuition price came as a shock. And not everyone can afford to do this for their children.

Well, I don't like kids, so I don't plan on making or getting any. But....., if that's what it takes to get my child the proper education to get somewhere in life. Of course I wouldn't pay all of it, but yes..

If I had any, I wouldn't. I paid my own way, and even if I could, by the time college came around, it become a complete luxury and inaccessible. Trade schools can be just as good.

You make your own way in this world. I don't think you're really "helping" your kids by handing everything to them. They need to work for what they want.

College education gets people ahead in this world. Most high school graduates are not ready to pay for this, and I don't want them to be in debt for years paying off tuition loans.
