Would You Pay $1,500 for a Bugaboo Donkey Stroller?

No, there's not an actual donkey involved. But we think it's still pretty ridiculous.

The latest must-have for new mothers is called "The Donkey" and it's a baby stroller for two -- priced at $1,500.

Funny thing is, the Bugaboo product (a company known among fancy mommies of the world for making these Rolls Royces of baby strollers) is sold out and it hasn't even hit stores yet.

We're all about convenience, but at that price we think we'll pass.

Would you pay $1,500 for the new donkey stroller?

I will never have 2 children within the age that they both need the stroller, and might not ever have more than one in the first place.
So no. I wouldn't. I can spend that money on better things, like contraceptives.

If I paid $1,500 for a baby stroller, the damn thing had better diaper, bathe and breastfeed my kid for me. Honestly, anyone who ponies up that kind of cash for a stroller needs a psychiatric exam. Even if I were filthy rich, this would be a ridiculous expense.

AWE HAIL NAW Thats a mortgage payment for some. No way would i sink that much money into something i would only use for a few years and then attempt to pass on to someone. Convenience sometimes causes laziness ...not a fan of that.

Hell, honey thats a payment and a half in a NORMAL housing market....I guess some folks with more dollars than sense might want one, but they would sell a lot more by cutting the price.

Does it do anything besides stroll? Where are the drink holders and the places to put shopping bags? When my granddaughter got too old for a stroller we still took it with us at Christmas time because it holds your purses, your phones, your drinks and all your packages. When someone said "where's the baby" we lied and said she's with her daddy at the other end of the mall!

I've got a Kolcraft twins stroller with a replacement warranty.
For $1,500 I could buy another one, hire a babysitter for a few nights, and have cash left over for the dinner/drinks tab.

Absoutely NOT! Why would you put your kids in something like that... and something that seems like it's for donkeys even by the name, AND that costs over 1,000? Oh yeah... probably insane parents...

Since the questions ask "Would You spend $1500", my answer is no. Not unless it is making dinner, changing the diaper and putting them to bed.
If someone else wants to spend that much, I don't care.

If that was the best choice and all features and prices were looked at I would, especially if the stroller grew with my kids (saves you buying 3 or 4 strollers as they get older)....I'd rather spend it on my kid's comfort than on a dumb coach purse.
