I would because I would loose my mind after a couple of weeks. My husband would quit because he likes being a stay-at-home dad. Hell at $1000 per week would more double my income, and we could actually pay off somethings while living without welfare and having insurance.

ATM I am a stay-at-home-Mum but I plan to return to work once my youngest starts school (which won't be until January/February 2016) so that we can start putting more money into the home loan to get it paid off sooner as well as saving for an overseas holiday for the family. If I won $1000 a week there would no longer be any need to work so I could stay at home & take care of the house & leave the job vacant for someone who actually needs it!

Yes

There are jobs I could do that I could make a reasonably comfortable living at when you add the $52k/yr. Even so, I'd probably end up investing a decent chunk of it.

$50k a year is pretty nice. I'd probably get a part-time job or something to keep from being bored, but I certainly wouldn't stress over it and I'd make sure to get a lot of vacation time.

I would perform volunteer jobs for people or organizations I felt were worthy. I could help people of modest means with free Interior Design services. That is just one example of many.

Yes, I would still have to do something esp living in the state of FL cuz everything is so expensive.. $1000 bucks a week is only $52K a year and if have/want a family that ain't going to do it for ya, but since the kid is only 18 he should definitely get out a see the world a bit before he jumps into a house and family and so forth...

I would still work, but I wouldn't have to worry about working a full time job, unless I wanted to. I wouldn't brag about the money I get, or spend it frivolously. I would still keep a budget to make sure that all my bills are getting paid and any extra goes into savings, with some left over for fun stuff every so often. I would definitely put some of the money I make (either through the lotto or work) into a fund for a house, that way I have a dedicated place that I have saved for a good down payment. But at 18, he's going to need to work at least a bit to be able to get good credit going so that he can eventually buy the bigger items like a house or car.
