My husband had so many things going for him that I never would have thought to ask for on a check list. I think that when people make a "wish list" on a dating site they are only mirroring things they like about themselves. Boring, who would want to date themselves. It is wonderful to learn from someone and experience a lot of different things and grow and be exposed to new thoughts, people, careers, hobbies, tastes, music, books, etc...

I met my husband on a dating site and he is the longest relationship I've ever had and we've never had arguments between each other about each others behavior (well nothing big just complaints about mess is all) in fact most of our arguments about my mother - he telling me to stand up to her, and having a go at me because I try too hard to be perfect for her all the time, even when I am ill.

I know more then a few friends who have met their other half on dating sites. I think it's easier for some nice guys to date women from there because it takes a lot of the fear, uncertainty and nervousness out of the equation. I mean the guy knows the girl is single and wants to me the right guy. There is seldom any crash and burning by some Bi*&^H who gets nasty with him. Girls get flood with requests and can pick and chose.

I would have passed up on both.One was 22 years older than i and the other lived 3,000 miles away so both would have been written off and I would have missed out on 25 wonderful years shared with them.There are so many, nice attractive, datable people everywhere.One's you don't have to google or back ground search.

I DID met my husband on a dating site almost 9 years ago. He proposed 8 weeks later, I accepted. We were married 8 years ago in April. I couldn't be happier.

Not married, (by choice!), but I would never rely on dating sites, it just seems to rob you of the pleasure of that first contact with the right person and the feeling s it gives you!
