I've carefully considered finding a sperm donor or adopting a child in the future, but I think that my life is best lived child-free.

The things that I want out of life can be best achieved without raising my own children. There are many many children in my family already, and many more without loving homes. I find it odd that people feel the need to tell me to have children. I am content as I am. My ideal life is a quiet life well spent with the partner of my choice, and a few pets.

No, because I'm single, male and 40 years old. It would not only be biologically impossible for me to have a child, but it's also a very bad idea at my age.

Reproductive health deteriorates rapidly after age 30. Have you ever heard someone say something like "my youngest is autistic"? Well, that's why. If you plan on having children, do it in your twenties or early thirties.

Charlie Chaplin had kids into about his 70s. Of course, it helped that his wife was about 35 years younger than him. Matters more the mother's age than the father's. Fair, yah?
