Would you give up your seat for a pregnant woman?

You!

A pregnant woman gets on the bus, train or wherever...There are no seats left. Would you get up and offer her your seat, or would you leave her to stand?

without thinking i'd give her my seat. but it gets awkward and embarrassing if she's not pregnant... you know, just a huge tummy.

I would if she like asked. How mean would someone have to be to make her stand? DX I mean if she was a month pregnant, she can stand, but if she's like 4-5+ months , she shouldn't have to stand! :S

I ride the NYC subway at least twice a day and I always offer my seat to pregnant women, the elderly or those with canes or crutches.
It never fails to amaze me when one of the above enters a train how everybody all of a sudden becomes VERY interested in their book, paper, video game, etc.

I'm young standing isn't going to hurt me. Plus I don't think standing up on in a moving vehicle is the safest thing for the baby. What if the woman fell? I'd definitely give a pregnant woman my seat. Just like I'd give an elderly man or woman my seat too. It's the right thing to do.

I might let her sit in my seat... but I doubt it. Sounds mean, but let's be honest people. Plus it depends on pregnant.. if she looked nice, and if she looked presentable. Sad but true.

Also people, I don't live in a place where buses or trains etc are common. So maybe my opinion would be different if I dealt with this situation more often.

Bus drivers are nutters, they drive crazy fast. And that jolt to start the tube off is enough to knock anyone off their feet. I'd feel so bad if they fell over while I was sat down
