The USA seems to have trouble with hypersonic aircraft...they appear to disintegrate when they test them. USA couldn't even build a Concorde, how are they going to manage to pull this one off?

Also why does the US military feel the need to publish eveyrhting they make and/or attempt to invent? It's sort of like a "my dick is bigger than yours" and waving it around, sort of ordeal.

The USA Chose not to waste time & effort on a Concorde as the shock waves were not good for the environment, and they did not intended for destruction. however, IF we HAD chosen to design & build a SST, it would still be flying unlike the British French Concorde.

Since when did the US care about the environment and wont wont this and any super-sonic jet including the US attempt at a concord (Aerion) have the same problems and damaging effects to the environment? Ether way it will be allowd in the majority of airports and allowed to travel at super-sonic in US airspace due to wonderful American hypocrisy.

The only reason the concord failed was due to it being unprofitable, mainly because the US refused to let in land in the majority of their international airports and wa soutright banned from travelling at super-sonic over US airspace. it was at the end of the day an Anglo-French aviation-engineering masterpiece, and frankly when it was crapped it was a step back for technological advancement and the only reason it was scrapped was due to our loyal allies and friends the Americans... cheers.

Sure, aircraft are still safer to fly in than trains are to ride in.

Honestly, I don't like flying under the best of circumstances. Unless I had been given a terminal diagnosis or I was 89 years old and had done everything I ever wanted to do, I wouldn't take the chance.
