I will not confirm or deny the ownership of firearms in serious discussion.....

but.. IF someone broke into my home... they would leave in a body bag....

hunting, Protection, Practice.

I'm not afraid of the guns, I watch who controls it.
Just like a kitchen Knife or a car, the 'operator' is in charge of the use.

I own several guns. I am licensed to carry in my state and about 25 other staes. I and my gf both enjoy pistol shooting and I trap shoot. I would use my gun to defend myself, my loved ones and any other person in danger of violence if I could.

I've had a pistol permit for some time now. so I have the legal ability to purchase any kind of handgun any time I choose. Would purchase one and learn to shoot it if the need arose to protect my family, my home or myself.

They is little to no evidence anywhere to support this urban legend. As a matter of fact studies done by harvard University and other places show taht the criminals in our prison are strongly in favor of gun control because they do not want their potential targets armed and ready to fight back

Shooting usually can be justified only where crime constitutes an immediate, imminent threat to life, limb, or, in some cases, property.

I have carried, legally, everyday for 30 years. Once I assisted a cop and probably saved his life.

I used to be have a gun. I never even used it so I sold it. I like to think that if the situation came down to a life in death I could stare death right in the face and beat that guy down and takes his gun, only if I had to!

We live in the country and my husband used to hunt in the past, so we own many handguns, rifles, shotguns, a collection spanning many many years. I'm comfortable with guns, We were both raised with guns in our homes as kids.

I hope to God I never have to use it on a human. But, as I said, I live in the country and have had to use it to kill badly injured animals and a few skunks. My husband used to skeet and trap shoot for fun with friends.

My husband has a rifle, he uses it to hunt and just to shoot at the range. I used to own a pellet gun but it was stolen from my mom's house about 5 years ago. I don't hunt, I would use mine just to go shooting at the range or for protection in my home. I plan on buying myself a handgun with in the next year or so.

My husband owns several guns, legally of course. And yes, I know how to use them. I would protect my husband, dog and myself if any asshat broke into my house. No hesitation. In my opinion, if someone is breaking into my house while I'm there, they are not intending to let anyone live.

Please dont let me any where near a gun. I shot myself in the hand with my brothers bi bi gun a few years back.
I have the permanant reminder telling me not to go near any type of gun.
The bullet is still in my hand!

I don't own any now, but when I lived in the city I owned a few and kept them hidden in different places in my home. (I have no children, so don't worry) :o) I felt at ease knowing if anyone did break in, all of them were extremely accesible from any room of the house. If you do purchase a gun, please make sure it's legal and you have the required permits and licenses. Also, be sure to go to the range at least several times to learn how to correctly fire your weapon, so that there are no accidents. Always be safe when dealing with firearms.

A gun is protection and guarantees safety. Especially in some of the cities around this country. Police can't be everywhere, so a personal weapon is the next choice.

But I have been seriously considering it. There are many new threats
that give me the willies. Russia, China, and Iran just to name three. I
would buy a shotgun and keep it in our "safe room" (walkin closet), and
use it on any invader dumb enough to open that door.

Guns that I own: My fathers and mothers, From Vietnam, and ones I bought for target practice. Yes; I would use it to protect me, family, friends and all of you at SH. Because I have seen in another country when a different goverment or future goverment has the guns; but the people were'nt allowed to have guns. What they do to those people that resist or don't do what they (those with the guns) say...happens. Yes...I guarantee I would protect as I said...and don't ever think I would'nt.

In Florida we can legally shoot someone if they break onto our property and we fear for our lives. No more shooting them on the porch and shoving them through the window to say they were inside the house. Our car is also considered an extension of our property. Would I feel guilty if I shot a home invader? No.

I have a gun and I don't use it much, I use my dads gun for hunting. Hunting without a gun is pretty useless. Plus we have a gun for protection.... from my brother... lol
