I would, but I'd rather buy an older car & fix it up myself. It wouldn't be like one of those Fast & the furious type cars, it would be more like a 70's muscle car lol.

You lose I believe over a third of the value when you drive off the car lot.

I may change my mind if I'm ever rich, or even well off, but not anytime soon.

Not any more... too good a deals to be had on extremely low mileage 1 year old cars.

I recently bought a 1 year old Cadillac with 6k miles on it.. Sticker was $52K.. I drove it home for $34k. It just isn't worth that initial depreciation hit on a new car.

What a horrendous waste of money! I'd get one no less than 2 years old, though probably closer to 5, and let someone else take the huge depreciation from driving it off the lot. New cars are just a status symbol, not practical at all. These depreciate so much you're just throwing many thousands of dollars away. Better to put this money to work and let it make more money.

I don't have MONEY TO WASTE!!!! I'll let SOME OTHER SAP pay the new car prices, let him suffer the approximately one-half price drop when he DRIVES IT OFF THE LOT!!

All of the used one's I have ever bought have turned out to be absolute lemons. I think having the peace of mind of a 100,000 mile warranty is worth the expense of a new auto.

I have done it twice and would do it again without hesitation. It's very nice to not inherit someone else's problem. A rule of thumb with used cars (of which many are fine): Someone got rid of that car for a reason.

Maybe....but the classics are way better. A very rare and hard to find car I would love to have is a 58 fury...a bad ass car indeed. These new cars look tasteless...and look the same...

Never ever. They depreciate at least 50% the moment you drive it off their driveway.

That 50% the trade off to know that my car will start every time I turn the key. People do stupid things to cars and lie through their teeth when they sell them.
